Diana earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University in 2011. She holds an EC-6 ESL Generalist Certification, as well as a certification in Gifted and Talented. She began her teaching career in South Austin where she taught prekindergarten and kindergarten for four years. She then moved to LTISD where she taught kindergarten for 8 years. She was awarded teacher of the year in 2021 and had the honor of being the grade level team leader for 5 years. She is passionate about social emotional development, small group instruction, and play-based learning. Diana is excited to build relationships and collaborate with teachers, students, and staff.

Diana enjoys spending time in her backyard, taking care of her many plants, and doing Pilates. She loves exploring nature and can often be found at the river or on the lake.
