The more authentic a learning experience is, the more benefit a student will get through internalization of content as well as pivotal skills. Developing an Authentic Learning Experience (ALE) project is a process that takes us through levels of understanding of what must be taught, how we might turn that learning into something authentic, and how to assess that learning. This session will walk you through a protocol that makes the process as simple as possible for such a rich and thought-provoking experience. You will walk away with a tool for the protocol and ideas for managing the development and implementation of authentic learning experiences.
