In this session, we will cover basic academic strategies and tips for fostering independence in students with disabilities. We will also share ideas for how to support, document, and communicate with teacher partners.
JC Sanders is an Education Specialist on the Access to the General Curriculum team at ESC Region 13. JC has experience working with students with disabilities from 1st grade through 8th grade. She has worked as a research associate on the development of Tier 2 Mathematics Intervention for struggling students in 3rd and 4th grade. Her past experience as a collaborative teacher, resource teacher, math teacher, department chair, and curriculum developer helps her work with teachers and administrators to address the needs of all students.
