Kristin Bowers, MA, LPC, BCN obtained her Master of Arts, in
counseling, from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2008.
She received her training and supervision with Baylor Scott & White Military HomeFront Services, where she assessed and counseled Military professionals and their families using EEG brain wave biofeedback, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In 2013, Kristin moved to Lakeway and is currently the Director of, One In Mind Counseling & Neurofeedback. She treats adolescents and adults using evidence-based practices, and performs neurotherapy services with Dr. Romig at the Brain Improvement Center in Austin. Kristin holds a licensed professional counselor (LPC) issued by the state of Texas, EMDR certified, and board-certified neurofeedback therapist (BCN). She receives training and mentoring from Dr. Romig in brain wave biofeedback assessment and is a key partner in the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program.

Kristin is a Board Member of the Biofeedback Society of Texas. She is also the Coordinator for the Heart of Texas Trauma Recovery Network (HOT/TRN) and member of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA), International Society for Neurofeedback Research (ISNR), Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and Certified Animal Assisted Therapist (CAAT).

Dennis A. Romig, PhD, Psychologist and Director of the Brain Improvement Center
Dr. Romig has treated adults and children with depression, anxiety and behavior disorders with cognitive behavior therapy for over 25 years.
Since 1999 Dr. Romig received training and supervision from Dr. Angelo Bolea, a leading brain psychologist and neurofeedback specialist in the Washington, D. C. area. Dr. Romig attended basic and advanced training in brain wave biofeedback with EEG Spectrum in 2003-2004. He combined EEG brain wave biofeedback with cognitive behavior therapy and began the Brain Improvement methods in 2003.
Dr. Romig has presented at state, national and international brain and biofeedback conferences on his success treating depression, head injuries, and concussions. He was invited to present on How Brain Wave Biofeedback Could Benefit Texas Military Veterans at the Texas Capitol to the Texas Governor’s Staff, Texas House Staff, Texas Senate Staff in 2012. The presentation resulted in additional state appropriations for the treatment of military Veterans with head injuries.
Dr. Romig achieved a Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked with severe emotional problems at the Austin State Hospital and Children’s Psychiatric Hospital early in his career. He was Chief Psychologist for two different state agencies. He presented in 20 different states on cognitive behavior treatment success in treating juvenile delinquent and youth at risk behavior problems.
Dr. Romig is President of the Biofeedback Society of Texas. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association and International Society for Neurofeedback Research (ISNR).
